For over 35 years, we have provided entertaining and educational experiences to NIU students, faculty and staff, as well as services to the local community. With year-round trips, events, custom team-building and a four-season gear rental center, we'll help you enjoy the great outdoors.

We have lots of information and gear to help you enjoy the outdoors. Stop by the Adventure Center, located in the Recreation Center, to:
- Get pamphlets, maps and resources on local recreation.
- Check out outdoor education and travel books for free.
- Develop your climbing skills in the bouldering room.
- Read our rental guidelines.
