Julie Buck, CAP

Julie Buck, CAP is an expert in all things nonprofit, helping nonprofits realize their full capacity. Julie has more than 30 years of experience with nonprofit and government administration and is a strong facilitator and creative problem solver. She is respected for her honest and empathetic approach and invites you to "ask me anything" especially if it relates to Root Cause Analysis, board governance, one-on-one coaching for executives or boards, donor relations, or planned giving. For the past 20 years, Julie has been the first and only executive director of the Community Foundation of Grundy County. She is also the founder of Nonprofit Brains and Brawn, LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to nonprofits, donors and professional advisors, and she teaches part-time at Joliet Junior College.

Julie is a chartered advisor in philanthropy with the American College of Financial Services and has completed more than 30 hours towards a master of public administration from Governors State University. Julie has served on numerous nonprofit and professional association boards and currently serves on the Chicago Council on Planned Giving board, as co-chair on the board for the CCPG Annual Day of Learning Symposium, and is a member of a six-consultant team teaching a Certificate of Chamber and Nonprofit Leadership via the Kokomo Thriving Center and Indiana Wesleyan University, and is the co-founder of 100+ Women Who Care of Grundy County.
