Angela is a proven leader with a recognized ability to build collaborative working relationships and drive visioning and strategic priorities through communication, coaching, team development, and project management. With a unique ability to both establish vision and galvanize teams for implementation, Angela is sought as a planning facilitator and coach. This expertise has been tapped by several nonprofits, including RACVB, Discover Peoria, Morton Chamber of Commerce, Rockford Area Realtors, Rockford Public Schools, Klehm Arboretum, Center for Sight & Hearing, ECOH, Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center, YWCA and Chicago-Rockford International Airport.

Angela' s marketing expertise includes product management, pricing, distribution channel development, brand management, advertising/promotion, research, digital marketing, eCommerce and corporate communications. Her experience spans several sectors and industries including manufacturing, tourism, financial services, nonprofit, arts and culture, healthcare and agriculture. She is president and chief strategy advisor at Grindstone Strategic and previously served as vice president of marketing for Woods Equipment Company and as director of marketing for SwedishAmerican Health System, now UW Health.

As a board member and volunteer, Angela has served Rockford Area Arts Council, MELD, Village of Progress, Pec Playhouse Theatre and Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence. She is chairman of the Board of German American State Bank and on the Board of Hargrove and Associates (slated for Chairman in 2023), in addition to serving on an oversight committee for Association of Equipment Manufacturers. Angela was awarded a certificate in consumer marketing from Kellogg' s Executive Management Program and earned a bachelor' s degree in English from Illinois State University.
