NIU is committed to providing access and will provide sign language interpreters and CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) services as able for university-related events in accordance with applicable law.
The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is funded to provide this service to eligible, enrolled students for their class-related academic activities. For other activities, or when a non-student requests interpreting services, the department or organization conducting the program, service, or activity is responsible to fund the cost of the interpreting services.
