Mission
To support administrators, faculty, graduate students of NIU, and outside clients in their research and professional work involving statistics.
Service
The Statistical Consulting Services (SCS) is a part of NIU Division of Statistics. Professor Balakrishna Hosmane is the current director of the SCS. Our services include short-term statistical analyses, long-term collaborative research, and assistance in preparation of research grant proposals.
Education
Hands-on experience in statistical consulting provides practical experience and prepares students seeking jobs.
Research: Our service results in research publications and successful completion of Masters and Ph.D. dissertations.

Appointments
To schedule an appointment, please submit the client request form (CRF). A consultant will contact you to schedule your first consulting session. We currently do not offer walk-in service.
Students need written permission from their thesis advisors before they contact the SCS. Have your advisor email their permission to statconsult@math.niu.edu.
