Students in our school psychology program can earn a master’s degree in psychology and continue on to complete our specialist-level certification program. Our specialist-level program is fully approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). This certification entitlement program typically takes a total of three years (including internship) and involves:
Starting in the Fall of 2016, students admitted into our Specialist-level program will be supported by a $1.1 million grant from the Department of Education to receive our high quality program in addition to unique and specialized training on how to prevent and address bullying in schools. This Office of Special Education Programs grant will provide our specialist-level students with tuition waivers, will pay for fees, and will provide over $1000 in travel money each year to each student for the duration of your time in our three year program. This financial support will be to support students so they can focus on pursuing educational licensure as a school psychologist, learning the state of the art practices about preventing and addressing bullying in schools.
