Peggy Dee (instructor) received a bachelor's degree of fine arts from the University of Illinois and a master's degree of fine arts from Northern Illinois University. She has taught and exhibited in and around the Chicago area for over two decades. For the past ten years, she has taught painting at NIU to first-semester, second-semester and advanced independent study students. She has also taught in other media, including charcoal, dry pastel, oil pastel, colored pencil, and life drawing. She is currently teaching advanced painting at Elgin Community College. She works primarily with oil or acrylic on both paper and canvas. Her themes center on the human figure, utilizing still life objects and landscape elements to suggest her visual narratives. She has taught at the Visual Arts Camp for several years.
