Alaska Adventure – Sea Kayaking and Hiking

Camp Hike Water

Outdoor Adventures is planning a trip of a lifetime and Alaska certainly is a special place.  It is a land of fjords, gorgeous ocean coasts, high arctic tundra, and a loved place for outdoor enthusiasts. The week-long trip will explore the wild country by sea kayak and by foot. During our visit over the summer solstice, you will notice that the days are long and bright and nature is in brilliant bloom.  The trip will consist of a three-day kayak in the Prince William Sound out of Whittier, where we will paddle past wooded coves and towering glaciers in Blackstone Bay.  The remaining days will be spent hiking with numerous trails and landscapes including the trek to Harding Ice field, an 8.2 mile round trip day hike.  Registration fee includes instruction and leadership, kayak and camping equipment, ground transportation in Alaska, camping fees, and all meals. Flight is not included. Interested participants should search for flights into Anchorage where the group will meet on the afternoon of Sun., June 15. If you have any questions please contact Christine Lagattolla.
