5th Annual Lavender Graduation
On May 8, 2014 in the Holmes Student Center Sky Room at 4pm, the LGBT & Women's Resource Center will host the 5th Annual Lavender Graduation! We will honor, acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of students with diverse sexual and gender identities who are graduating in December 2013, May 2014 and August 2014. Kye Allums attended George Washington University with an athletic scholarship to play basketball. In his sophomore year, he publicly shared his trans identity, soon making him known as the first Division I openly trans athlete. Don’t miss his dynamic presentation where he will share more about his identities as a queer person of color and trans athlete, and the importance of self-acceptance!
