Intramural Sports
We offer a variety of sport leagues and tournaments during the fall and spring semesters. You can form a team or join as a free agent. It's a great opportunity to have fun, get involved, meet new people and display your athletic skills.

Registration
Follow these steps to join or create a team.

Register Your IMLeagues Account
- Visit MyRec and select Intramurals.
- If you're not already signed in, select Current NIU Students/Faculty/Staff to log in with your Z-ID and password.
- The intramural portal (IMLeagues) will display. Select the IMLeagues logo to go to IMLeagues.
- Enter your information and select Complete to finish registering your account.
Now that your account is registered, you'll be taken to IMLeagues whenever you try to log in. Simply select the IMLeagues logo to proceed.

Join or Create a Team
Join a Team
- Visit IMLeagues and log in.
- Select the Create/Join Team button for the desired team.
- Accept the captain's request to join the team or find the captain's name on the division/league page and request to join.
- Take the participant quiz. You must score 100%.
- Accept the waiver.
Create a Team
- Visit IMLeagues and log in.
- Choose the desired league/division and select Create Team.
- Sign the participation waiver, pick a team name and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Take the participant quiz. You must score 100%.
You can now invite people to join your team.

Pay Fee
- Visit MyRec and select Current NIU Students/Faculty/Staff to log in with your Z-ID and password.
- Select and register for the sport you wish to join.
- Check out and pay with a credit card. If you want to pay with Huskie Bucks or charge your bursar account, email intramurals@niu.edu.

Become an Official
Join our officiating team! You'll gain leadership skills and earn extra money while learning sports rules and regulations. Experience is not required, and training is provided. Hours are flexible, according to your interests and availability.
