Programs and Services

The primary services offered by the PSC are psychotherapy and psychological evaluation. We work with problems such as interpersonal relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, academic and adjustment problems, school problems, sexual difficulties and family/marital difficulties.

Please note that we typically provide short to medium-term therapy. Although we are open during the summer, we do not expect all of our clients to continue in therapy after mid-May (the end of the spring semester). If you feel that you need long-term therapy, please discuss this matter with your interviewer at the intake and your therapist. Having a pre-established understanding about the length of therapy often helps both client and therapist use the time more effectively.

Request Services

To request services, call the clinic office at 815-753-0591 during our business hours. Our office manager will complete a form with you over the phone. She will ask for some demographic information and have you give a brief description of what type of problem(s) you are having.

Sometimes the initial appointment can be scheduled during the phone call. Otherwise, you will receive a return call within a few working days. Our office manager will also provide directions to the Psychological Services Center and information about parking and related matters.
