Vendors who are conducting business with NIU departments must purchase a Service Permit to park on campus.
The Service Permit allows access to Reserved Service Spaces for loading and unloading of equipment and delivery of goods.
Service/Vendor Permits must be purchased in the Campus Parking Services office.
A registration form must be filled out each time a permit is purchased.
The cost is as follows: $5 a day, $10 a week, $25 a month or $135 for an annual Service Permit. We accept: cash, checks, American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa.
Service Permits allow the purchaser to park for up to 30 minutes in a Reserved Service Space then they are required to park in any blue permit lot.
A company/vendor may request longer, time specific service space time, by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The email should include the company name, brief description of the nature of their business on campus, the amount of service space time desired and name and title of the requestor. The email will be reviewed by the Coordinator of Parking and a decision made to approve, deny or modify such request.
Vendors who fail to make proper arrangements for the use of the University parking facilities on campus will be subject to current parking enforcement regulations.
