Each residence hall has its own Community Council. The Community Council's job is to make the halls a great place to live at and to learn at. We do this through diverse programming that encourages you to get involved in your community and giving you opportunities to develop your leadership skills.
You're invited to attend the weekly Community Council meetings in your hall! At these meetings you'll get to make new friends, network with other students living in your hall, and find out about monthly events your Community Council is organizing. Community Council also gives you a great platform for voicing your opinion on hall improvements, making changes to the on-campus living experience, and engaging in active discussions and activities — all without leaving your building! To get involved, contact the RHA, talk to your Hall Director, or check out a Community Council meeting.
Community Councils meet every other Tuesday, except New Hall who meets every Tuesday, at 9 p.m. in these locations:
Grant D Formal
Northern View Community
Community Council Executive Board Positions
Community Council meetings are led by each hall's Community Council Executive Board. Members of each Executive Board represent their hall at RHA meetings and help plan, execute, and market events for residents of their hall. Check out a Community Council meeting to find out about openings for these positions:
- Vice President
- Public Relations Officer
- RHA Representative
- RHA Intramural Sports Coordinator
Through Community Council, students are also able to represent their hall within campus-wide committees through RHA. Ask your Community Council about getting involved in these committees.
