Why did you decide to study abroad?

As a Spanish Major, I wanted to improve upon the language in which I'm studying to gain as much confidence as possible. Learning a whole new culture was something that appealed to me and gaining a different perspective of the world. I strived to receive an international education that was based outside of the United States to be put outside of my comfort zone. Credit for my classes was another huge incentive to graduating on time while adding great experience to use in the professional world.

Favorite memory from studying abroad:

There are thousands of memories to choose from, but the most impactful would be the my home-stay family. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed in their home at all times. From as basic to walking with me through the streets of Barcelona to teaching me lessons about the culture and language of Catalonia. The amount of hospitality that I experienced was amazing along with all of the other influential people that I met.

Favorite excursion or adventure:

My favorite excursion would have been our weekend adventure to Montpellier, France. I had just recently left the country for the first time, and seeing another culture vastly different just blew my mind. We had lead
trips to see the coast along with magnificent beaches along with guided boat trips to see more of the Mediterranean Sea. The monuments, the cuisine, the French, the museums all together made me appreciate the world as a whole.
