It is Illinois law to assess and report on bullying to evaluate schools’ anti-bullying policies, but many districts and schools need help and are not yet doing this. The goal of this showcase will be to review a variety of bullying assessments schools can use to do identify bullying prevalence and identify points of intervention.

On Monday, May 11th, 2015 at NIU in DeKalb, there will be a showcase hosted by the NIU School Psychology Student Organization to provide an overview of measures used to screen for bullying in schools. Graduate students from the School Psychology Program will present on several bullying assessments from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Regency Room of the Holmes Student Center (registration begins at 8:30). The cost of the showcase will be $70 and will include 3 Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs) from ISBE or 3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for social workers and psychologists, refreshments, a comprehensive booklet, and parking.  Parking will be available in the NIU Visitor Parking Lot on Carroll Avenue.
