NIU 2012 Sandwich-like Fellows Working Papers

With partial funding from the Directorate General of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia

During fall semester 2012, Northern Illinois University welcomed 13 scholars from Indonesia to our campus, to participate in the Sandwich-like Fellows Program sponsored by the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. Under the leadership of Professor James T. Collins, Senior Advisor to the Dean for International Engagement, and with the support of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and the Division of International Programs, the scholars listed below worked with NIU faculty mentors, also listed, to refine and strengthen their dissertation research proposals. The results of their work during the program are made public here, as working papers along the pathway to completing the dissertation.

The faculty and staff of Northern Illinois University are honored to be able to support these faculty members from various Indonesian universities as they seek to improve their professional and scholarly expertise and thereby to strengthen the universities in Indonesia where they teach, serve, and conduct research. We are grateful to DIKTI and the Ministry of Education and Culture for their support, and we look forward to welcoming another cohort of Sandwich-like Fellows in fall semester 2013.
