Turkish Consul General Visit to NIU

Consul General Yildiz visited NIU January 24, 2011, to discuss academic cooperation between Turkey and the US.  He has responsibility for Turkish consular affairs in a 12-state region, including Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, Missouri, North Dakota and South Dakota.  NIU has cooperative agreements with the Turkish Ministry of the Interior and with Hacettepe University in Ankara.
