Northern View Community Application Process
NVC Availability
Thank you for your interest in living in Northern View Community. Due to the popularity of NIU’s on-campus, apartment-style housing, registration is now closed for buildings three and five, which are reserved for traditional NIU students, at least two years post-high school, who do not live with a dependent. If you are interested in placing your name on a wait list for NVC buildings three and five, please contact the Northern View Community Office at 815-753-8439. In the meantime, we hope you will consider joining us in one of our five residence hall communities.
Please note: apartments for non-traditional students, students with significant others and/or dependents are still available in buildings two, four, and six. If you have any questions, or would like to tour NVC, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
Buildings 3 & 5
Buildings 3 and 5 are selected by the room and are designed for students who do not have dependents and graduated high school before 9/1/09.
Buildings 2, 4 & 6
If you are a student and would like to sign up for an apartment for Fall 2012 or Spring 2013, please call our office to check for apartment availability. Thank you!
