Bigger mailboxes can save paper
NIU Google Apps for students
NIU implemented Google Apps for students in August 2012. Google Apps for Education are free for higher education and include email, calendars, chat and collaboration tools.
A Google mailbox has 25 Gigabytes storage, making it an alternative to saving printed documents. Google Drives makes creation and collaboration on electronic documents easy, and with Google Sites, a website can be created to gather all the documents in one place.

Faculty and staff mailboxes
GroupWise mailboxes for faculty and staff have been increased to 2 Gigabytes, so there's lots of room to save documents electronically.
