Career Fair Prep Workshop

What’s the key to success at a career fair? Preparation! At this workshop you’ll gain valuable tips on how to get ready for September’s IT-STEM Fair and October’s All-Majors Internship and Job Fair. Learn how to dress for success, research companies and prepare a 30-second introduction. You'll get to practice networking with NIU alumni and employers. Appetizers and dessert provided.
IT/STEM Career Fair

In this workshop, you will define “highly cited” literature, critique the academic publishing systems which track citations, and find the most-cited literature on your topic using tools like the Scopus and Google Scholar.

All-Majors Internship and Job Fair

Come talk with some of the over 100 employers who are seeking candidates for their internship or job opportunities. Graduate students from all degree programs are very welcome. Research employers through Huskies Get Hired, and use Navigate to schedule an online or in-person career counseling appointment to get fully prepped. LinkedIn professional headshots, taken by a photographer from NIU Communications, will be available at no charge during the fair.
