Federal Pell Grant

The Federal Pell Grant is a need-based grant that can help undergraduates pay for educational expenses such as tuition and fees, room and board, and living expenses.

Eligibility Requirements

Pell Grants are awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's degree prior to filing.

Grant Funds

Pell awards range from $400 to $5,350 per academic year. If you are eligible for a Pell Grant, you will receive the full amount you qualify for. The amount of other student aid that you qualify for does not affect the amount of your Pell Grant.

The amount of your Pell Grant depends on:

  • Cost of education
  • Expected family contribution
  • Enrollment status (full or part time)
  • If the student is attending a full academic year or only half of an academic year

You may  not receive Pell Grant funds from more than one school at a time.
