String Day is designed to hone the musical skills of developing string players by providing a day of musical enrichment for students. The event features a short performance by each high school group on the Concert Hall stage. This is followed by an on-stage critique led by NIU orchestra director Lucia Matos and members of the NIU string faculty. The day includes master classes with NIU string faculty Blaise Magniere, Marie Wang, Mathias Tacke, Anthony Devroye, Cheng-Hou Lee, and John Floeter, as well as a performance by the Avalon String Quartet

Cost: $160 per school. Limited to 6 schools. Registration form
