CSJAZZ BAND

  Become a player in a top regional jazz big band! Play the classics by Ellington, Basie, and others, as well as tunes written by new composers. Players should have at least minimal proficiency in tone production, sight-reading, improvisation, and should understand different styles used in jazz music. The band is composed of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, piano, guitar, bass, drums, and vocalist.

Auditions for the 2013-2014 CSJazz Band - If you are interested in joining the group in fall, contact the office to request an audition.  Call (815) 753-1450.  Bring a prepared piece, either a transcription or from the school jazz folder and be prepared to sight-read and improvise.
