Summer Research Symposium
The 2017 Summer Research Symposium from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, on Friday, August 11, in Altgeld Hall.
Undergraduate students who have participated in faculty-mentored research or artistry projects will be showcasing their work through posters and oral presentations. The main summer programs include the Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP); the McKearn Fellows program; and various Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs sponsored by NIU. Each program gives students the opportunity to conduct full-time research with established NIU faculty and participate in professional development workshops.
The symposium will also include presentations from students participating in the Student Engagement Fund (SEF), the Undergraduate Special Opportunities in Artistry & Research (USOAR) program, and the University Honors Program.
The Summer Research Symposium is free and open to the public. If you are interested in a summer research program or getting involved in undergraduate research, you should attend! For more information, call 815-753-8154 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
