My leadership roles at NIU are: University Honors Fellow for the University Honors Program, Co-President for the Student Alumni Association, and Secretary for the University Honors Student Association. Extra Curricular activities I am involved in are Students Take Action Now-Darfur (STAND) and Research Rookies. My campus related interests are research, alumni outreach, and interacting with current and new students.
An academic goal I have is to attain my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy, and eventually a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Development or Rehabilitation. My career goal is to do research on and work with children with developmental disabilities, primarily Autism Spectrum Disorder. I eventually want to work with an IGO that focuses on health care overseas.
Scholarships I have received include: the Alumni Merit Scholarship, the University Honors Program Summer Scholar, and Two Ten Foundation Scholarship.
