My leadership roles I have at NIU are: President of the Honors Student Association, Secretary of Institute of Industrial Engineers, University Honors Program Fellow, Secretary of Douglas Hall Council, Douglas Hall Open House Coordinator, and NI Program Lead Guide. I am very involved at NIU; my extra curricular activities include: the Honors Student Association, Northern Lights Ambassadors, Mortar Board Senior Honor Society, Institute of Industrial Engineers, Alpha Pi Mu (Industrial Engineering Honors Society) College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (CEET) Ambassador's Club, University Honors Fellow, Lambda Sigma Sophomore Honor Society, National Residence Hall Honorary Student Alumni Association, Douglas Hall Council Open House Coordinator, Tour Guide and University Jazz Band. Some of my campus related interests include: service opportunities, Welcome Days, the Univeristy Honors Program, Department of Industrial Systems and Engineering (ISYE) and Huskie Football!
An academic goal I have is to finish out my undergraduate career with a 3.9 GPA and keep my position as top student in my graduating class for Industrial and Systems Engineering. Once I graduate, I intend to earn a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering at NIU. Then I want to enter the work force and become either an engineering manager, plant manager, or continuous improvement manager.
Scholarships I have received include: Caterpillar Student Excellence Award, University Honors Fellow Scholarship, Joe Bittorf Memorial Scholarship and Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering Academic Excellence Award.
Some of my hobbies include: baseball, football, being active, playing Tenor Saxophone in Jazz/Rock bands, traveling, volunteering and engineering (of course)!
