Hi, my name is Jodi Hoppensteadt and I am a senior here at NIU majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics. I will be graduating May, 2013 and am excited to continue my education with the final goal of becoming a Registered Dietitian. I have worked in the restaurant industry for almost twenty years and I am having a wonderful experience with my team while working at The Heart of Portugal at Ellington's. I hope you enjoy our delicious and flavorful menu of Portuguese cuisine.
Hi! My name is Seri Lee. I am currently a senior majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics. I've always loved cooking and baking as a hobby. This class is teaching me to use my skills for good use! I am very excited to serve our Portuguese menu to all.
Hi, my name is Michelle Farr and I am a senior majoring in Hospitality Administration and minoring in Business. I intend to graduate May of 2013 in hopes of pursuing a career in Wedding and Event Coordinating. My experience within the restaurant industry consists of being a manager at a Coldstone Creamery throughout my high school years, being a hostess at a pancake house, working banquets and catering events at a resort and working at their fine dining restaurant closely with the chef focusing on soups and desserts. Together my team has created a delectable Portuguese themed menu, in which we hope all to enjoy.
Hi, my name is Cliff Hight. I am a senior Hospitality Administration major graduating in May 2013. My experience with food stems from restaurants, banquets, and catering jobs I’ve held in the last 5 years. Our Heart of Portugal menu provides insight into the rich and diverse foods of Portugal. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Hi my name is Kristin Ihrke and I'm a senior majoring in Hospitality Administration, graduating this coming May. I have loved working in the restaurant industry for the past few years, so I'm really enjoying learning how to improve my skills this semester. Hi, I’m Amy Johnson! I am in my last year as a Nutrition and Dietetics student here at NIU. When I graduate, I hope to attend an internship and become a Registered Dietitian. So far, the Quantity Foods Production class has been a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to the day of service with our Portuguese theme. I believe we have some great traditional entrees that everyone will love!
