With 17 departments, 2 divisions, 33 baccalaureate degree programs, and more than 6,500 undergraduate students, NIU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is the largest of the University's 6 undergraduate colleges. It also offers 31 graduate programs, including 11 at the doctoral level, for over 1,200 master's and doctoral students. The College is also home to 7 research centers and 5 interdisciplinary research and teaching programs: the Center for Latino and Latin American Studies, the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, the Center for Non-Governmental Organization Leadership and Development, the Women's Studies Program, and the Institute for the Study of the Environment, Sustainability and Energy.
