NIU Ranger Challenge Team

Only the hardiest of candidates need apply.  The NIU Ranger Challenge Team is composed of highly motivated volunteers who represent NIU in the varsity sport of ROTC: Ranger Challenge.

Ranger Challenge is a grueling military skills competition conducted first at the regional level.  The competition consists of several events, to include the one-rope bridge, weapons assembly/disassembly, first aid, Army Physical Fitness Test, Patrolling Written Test and a 10K Ruck March...all conducted on a weekend in October.

Interested Cadets must maintain a semester and cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a score of 70 pts in each category of the Army Physical Fitness test to participate on the Ranger Challenge Team.
