NIU Career Services provides a wide variety of resources and services to help NIU military students and veterans reach their academic and career goals. Explore the tips and resources below for help with developing your career plans!

  • Begin working with the Career Services as soon as you arrive at NIU!  Don't wait until you graduate or after.  We offer a variety of career events, networking activities, and individualized services to meet your needs.

  • Login to Huskies Get Hired, complete your profile, and begin exploring the great employers and opportunities awaiting you.  Go to today.

  • In a hurry and have a quick question?  Stop into the Career Resource Center for walk-in resume reviews and help with Huskies Get Hired.  Visit us at Campus Life Building, Room 235.
  • Attend an Internship Fair and/or Full Time Job Fair held every spring and fall to explore career options, network with potential internship and full time employers, and take the first step towards getting an interview.   Visit

  • Explore Major WebLinks to research occupations, professional organizations and associations, job search sites, and more.  Figure out “What Can I Do with a Major In…”
