NIU EDUCATORS' JOB FAIR

  • This fair is FREE for current NIU students and NIU Alumni.
  • All Other Candidates - $10

Times:
NIU students: 9 AM until 12:30 PM = Open Session; 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM = Pre-scheduled interviews by invitation only. 

Non-NIU students: 10 AM until 12:30 PM = Open Session; 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM = Pre-scheduled interviews by invitation only.

NIU Students & Alumni Only

1. Submit your résumé to Career Services for review: edresumes@niu.edu  
The sooner the better to make sure you are prepared to get noticed & get hired.
Submission deadline: December 31, 2012. 

2. Publish your résumé in "Resume Books," in the Huskies Get Hired! system.
The resume books will be open for publishing between Nov. 1, 2012 and until Jan. 25, 2013.

3. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS FAIR.

    Only non-NIU candidates who pre-register will be admitted to the Fair. 
    (No on-site admission will be available for non-NIU candidates who do not pre-register).

    Prepare for the Fair

    • This fair is designed for you to meet and network with representatives from schools and districts hiring educators. This is an important interaction even if it feels brief and is not what you expected.
    • Hiring officers from schools and districts tell us that a positive and confident first impression is important-- even when the interaction is brief.
    • Representatives come from across the state, country and some from international locations.
    • Candidates who are willing to relocate increase their opportunities for job prospects.
    • Dress and act the part; conservative, well-pressed, tailored business attire is your best choice.
    • Bring plenty of résumés. No photocopiers will be available at the fair.
