Graduate school fair at NIU helps
individuals make important decisions

DeKalb, Ill. — Northern Illinois University’s Career Services office will host a graduate fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, for students, graduating seniors and alumni who might be interested in furthering their education beyond the bachelor’s degree.

This new event will take place in the Duke Ellington Ballroom of the Holmes Student Center located on NIU’s DeKalb campus. Assistance covering a broad spectrum of the academic curriculum will be provided by representatives from several schools or colleges within NIU and from individuals representing universities in the region.

Career Services annually sponsors five career fairs that provide opportunities for those graduating seniors and alumni who are ready to enter the workforce. This new fair is to provide assistance for those who are exploring the opportunities available with an advanced degree.

“The graduate school fair is designed to help members of the NIU student family answer one crucial question,” said Cindy Henderson, executive director of Career Services. “If I want to attend graduate school, what are some of the programs that are available at my institution or at other institutions?”
