The Northern Ambassadors are successful undergraduate students who serve with the NIU Office of Undergraduate Admissions to welcome and receive visitors to the NIU campus.
The Ambassadors offer a welcoming, informative, comprehensive, and high quality visit experience for all visitors to NIU.
The Ambassadors provide campus visitors with a positive and accurate representation of what NIU has to offer as a university community and with what NIU means to them personally.
Northern Ambassadors lead NIU campus walking tours and special group tours as their primary leadership responsibility.
Northern Ambassadors also serve as student representatives at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center (BAVC) and at the Williston Hall Undergraduate Admissions Office during peak visit hours, greeting visitors and answering campus student life questions both in person and through their e-mail account: at niuambassadors@niu.edu.
