Fire up your Social Life!

Something is always going on at Northern Illinois University’s campus.

Catch a concert at the Convocation Center or the Music Building. Scream along with the thousands who pack Huskie Stadium to celebrate every first down and touchdown. Toss a Frisbee, play some bags or spike the volleyball at a residence hall cookout or simply during a warm and sunny afternoon.

NIU offers 36 social Greek organizations and more than 200 student-led clubs to help individuals get involved in the group of their choice. These groups provide opportunities in music performance, team sport participation, volunteerism and many other areas.

In addition to our intramural club sports, NIU competes in 17 different NCAA Division I sports in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Huskies can attend all games to cheer on their teams for free with student I.D.

Student services are offered directly on campus, including a health care clinic and pharmacy, child care center, diversity resource center, career advising office and several athletic centers.

Whether you’re into hockey or history, campus life is here to promote a local community, create new experiences and expand upon the many talents and achievements of students, faculty and staff.
